Purpose

• One must know how data was collected because it changes the results.
• Methods should also mention what problems arose during data collection period.
• One must choose the correct method of data collection for his/her project.

Problems

• Your paper shouldn’t be a *manual* and shouldn’t describe step by step simple things. Being a bit more broad for those sections is ok.
• When problems are reached, don’t just overlook them, explain how you solved them and also any processes that helped overcome problems.

Summary

1. The methods help prove how legit the research done in a study is.
2. Your methods is a general description of the actual way you plan to find your information.
3. The methods section is essentially the most important part of your paper because readers will decide off of this section whether your research is valid or not.
